We have been enjoying Blackberries for several months now. Some tiny little round balls picked from alongside drainage dykes in France. Some huge from my cultivated variety which is trained vertically and is producing fruit at 2.5m High.
They are a grand sight at this time of year.

There is a small paperback book called 'When I am old I will wear purple'. One page says 'when I am old I will wear purple and pick the flowers in other peoples gardens'.
Fresh fruit is gorgeous. When we move to Calgary, I plan to have a veg garden. Hugs

Yes do get a veg garden and grow organic. Lots of delicious food full of all the things we need.
Nice!! You've just reminded me to go collect some at the back of the house (a whole big batch this year!) but I have a feeling it's a bit too late now... everything is freezing - even the water in the water feature was frozen over the other day. Not good for blackberries!

Yes frosts were early this year. Being in Yorkshire you get it a bit colder too.

yum. There was a garden along near me which had fruit from early August overhanging the pavement. I never did find the courage to pick them, but now it has truly finished with berrys.
